Baltimore's Exonym & Endonym or Mi Corazón en África
Painted in Baltimore, Maryland for Open Walls Baltimore2, this is a mural that looks at the vernacular of the city and at it's periodical changes brought about by demographic migrations. Starting with the name of the city as being an anglicization of the Irish name Baile an Tí Mhóir, meaning "town of the big house" and ending in it's more contemporary nicknames of Balmer or B'more, the imagery of the mural connects these histories and anchors them on the street photography of Rodolfo Diaz which was used as source material for the project.
