Mi Gente Vota
This poster shows different struggles that unite the Latinx community in the USA - it depicts migrants riding la Bestia (the beast) in Mexico, protesters from climate change actions and a photograph of my young cousin in the Bronx, NY - all superimposed over a brown USA flag. These images all tell a story about visibility and representation in the larger fabric of what makes the USA a country. Latinx are present in the media, politics, arts and everyday life but we need to continue this strategy of being heard, seen and counted in the ballots to fully establish our strength as an ethnically and culturally united people in the United States.
