30 X 36 inches, oil on canvas • an image of the 1977 protest led by activists against the incarceration of Puerto Rican Nationalists, which took form in the hanging of the Puerto Rican flag over the #StatueofLiberty. An image of a protest lead by the #Wiphala, or the Indigenous Andean People's flag which, through its colour, represents the different #suyus or regions of the land: white for #Qullasuyu, yellow for #Kuntisuyu, red for #Chinchaysuyu, and green for #Antisuyu. Both superimposed by a coyote skull and a portrait of @afrosemary, a #Mestiza of #Taina and #Inca blood- tie it all together and let it marinate.
