a mural organized by @hightstowncreative at @njrise’s thirst store located at 114 Rogers Ave in Hightstown, NJ. This is the result of months of planning, engagement and design on my end and years in the making for the local organizers. The project reminded me of the radical power and impact that mural art can have on the community around it. This design centers family bonds, chosen or given, as a way of engaging the humanity shared by people of disparate backgrounds that are united by geography and the dreams and actions that point to a better future.
